The model 5102 is a single ended bean type load cell. Below 500 pounds, it is constructed as a bending beam. 500 pounds and above, it is constructed as a shear beam. Its high accuracy, low profile and redundant sealing makes it well suited for use in small and medium platform scales and process applications in harsh environments.
The redundant seal is a combination of TRANSEAL II, a proprietary waterproofing compound, and a neoprene boot covering the gage area. This allows the load cell to be submerged for extended periods without affecting accuracy. The 5102 is also Factory Mutual approved, DoT 3000d approved, and exceeds OIML and the NEW H-44 requirements. These features assure compliance with the most rigorous national and international requirements.
